Letters and Science Advising Commons
TheCollege of Letters and Science (CLS) Academic Advisors support current CLS students and those exploring any of our 17 majors. Collaborating closely with CLS department staff and faculty, our advisors provide students with timely, accurate information.
New MSU students are assigned an Academic Advisor, helping them transition into college life. Most students transition to a Faculty Advisor within their area of study after the first year. However, depending on the department or major, some students may continue working with an Academic Advisor beyond their first year.
Our advisors are dedicated to guiding students through their academic journey by offering assistance with course planning, graduation requirements, university policies, deadlines, and opportunities for involvement. The CLS Advising Center provides both by-appointment and drop-in hours to help students achieve their academic goals.
For assistance, reach out to us at clsadvising@montana.edu.
