Family and Consumer Science/ 4-H Agent

Hello! I'm Teresa Young. I grew up in Broadwater County. I come to Extension from community social services. I worked in medical social work and long-term care administration in Lewistown since 2012. I have a passion for community building and family systems...and breadmaking. 

"Family Consumer Sciences" is the catch-all phrase for what used to be "Home Economics". While we still do the cooking, canning, and crafting known as "Home Ec", our focus is the well-being of the family within the larger community. Caregiving, budgeting, dementia, nutrition, estate planning, mental health...the list is extensive. FCS education empowers individuals and families across the life span to manage the challenges of living and working in our diverse global society. 

Teresa is here to educate and guide on everything from canning and food safety to dementia and caregiving.
