Extruder Lab Additional Storage: Harrison Hall
Description of Request
Submitted By: Sophia Seffrood, Lab Manager
The Space Management Committee recommends approval of the allocation of a portion of Harrison Hall room 056 to be utilized as storage. The Food Product Development Lab (FPDL) Extrusion Unit receives large quantities of dry ingredients in bulk which are then stored in a variety of ways, taking up large quantities of space. As a result, their research and testing operations have outgrown their current space. The FPDL has received the necessary approval from the university sanitarian to store food grade bulk ingredients in the space. The allocation of this additional room will help accommodate the growth of the lab as well as create more efficient storage solutions using a storage locker and a chain link fence to secure the area.
