Dr. Neha John-Henderson Lab Relocation: Molecular Bioscience Building
Description of Request
Submitted By: Space Planning
The Space Management Committee recommends approval of the relocation of the S.A.R.A.H. Lab from Leon Johnson Hall room 523 to shared laboratory space in the Molecular Bioscience Building (MBB) room 245. Utilization data and program review indicate that the specialized wet-lab space in Leon Johnson Hall is currently underutilized due to shifts in Dr. Neha John-Henderson’s research activities. In coordination with Dr. John-Henderson and Dr. Steve Martin, Space Planning has identified a feasible solution to integrate her required equipment and research functions into existing lab space in MBB 245, including accommodation of shared bench space and freezer storage. This collaborative arrangement aligns with her current research model while freeing wet-lab space in Leon Johnson Hall for reassignment to higher-demand needs.
