Assistant Director
John Farrell, DHEd, MAAT
After 10 years of employment in clinical administration, primarily in Psychiatry, I started teaching in Allied Health programs in 1999. The additional opportunities to serve as an academic advisor and tutor allowed me to gain experience in becoming a valuable resource in student-centered environments, particularly in medical terminology, pathophysiology and certification exam preparation. I earned my master’s degree in applied theology in 2005 and my doctorate in health education in 2012. My area of specialty is bioethics and as an Interfaith Pastoral Counselor my area of focus is Palliative Medicine.
25 years of serving as an instructor and mentor offers a foundation to assist the next generation of healthcare professionals in achieving their career goals. Hobbies and interests include playing percussion, reading non-fiction, flower gardening, hiking and grant writing.
Born and raised in New York, and 30 years residing in Portland, Oregon, I look forward to experiencing the beauty of Montana.
