Faculty Excellence Grants

The Provost and the Center for Faculty Excellence are pleased to announce the Faculty Excellence Grants (FEG) Program. These grants, providing up to $5,000, are designed to support faculty across all disciplines in enhancing their scholarly work.

To support the faculty grant writing process, we have made changes to the program for FY2027.

Expanded Eligibility: Tenured, tenure-track, and non-tenure-track faculty with a scholarship component in their appointment are now eligible.

Revised Guidelines: We updated the Guidelines and Application Template to align more closely with our evaluation criteria, including allowing faculty summer salary in the budget.
Updated Review Process: We have updated the review process so that we will provide feedback to all applicants starting this cycle.

To better support your research timeline, we accept applications during two cycles:

Spring Cycle (Round 1): Applications open in February and are due in March. Selected projects receive funding in July and must be completed by June 30 of the following year.
Fall Cycle (Round 2): Applications open in September and are due in November. Selected projects receive funding in December and must be completed by June 30 (~6 months).
