Crop and Pest Management School 2026
The Crop and Pest Management School (CPMS) will be held January 14-15, 2026, at the MSU Billings Strand Union Building and will present accurate information designed to update participants on areas of new and proven agricultural techniques and emphasize sustainable management systems. Participants will learn to recognize the damage caused by pests and to integrate management methods in decision making. Click here for more information and a full agenda!

Emerald Ash Borere in the West
Date: Thursday, December 11, 2025, 12 noon (Mountain Time), 11 am (Pacific Time)
Length: Two hours
Speakers: Kadie Britt, Colorado State University
Dr. Kadie Britt has been the IPM Program Manager at Colorado State University since 2024. She earned her PhD in entomology from Virginia Tech and recently completed a postdoc with the University of California. At CSU, Kadie is leading a multi-state effort funded by the Western IPM Center to raise awareness of EAB.

Cliff Sadof, Purdue University
Dr. Clifford Sadof is a retired Professor of Entomology at Purdue University where he has conducted extensive work on the management and outreach of emerald ash borer, contributing significantly to national efforts to mitigate its impact on urban and natural forests.
Description: Emerald ash borer (EAB) is considered the most destructive forest pest the U.S. has ever faced. In the West, it occurs in Colorado and Oregon, and is likely to continue spreading. This 2-hour webinar will begin with an update of this pest in the west by Dr. Kadie Britt followed by a presentation by Dr. Clifford Sadof, covering the staggering efforts conducted in the eastern U.S. to combat this pest.
