Turnitin allows students to check their work for originality and receive instructor feedback. Within Canvas, Turnitin is integrated into assignments, enabling students to submit work, view Similarity Reports, and see instructor comments.

Instructors must first enable Turnitin for an assignment before submissions can generate reports. How similarity scores and feedback are displayed depends on the instructor’s settings. Once a submission has been made, you can view Turnitin reports and feedback by clicking the assignment title in the Grades area of your course—if your instructor has enabled this feature.

Turnitin Tutorials

Turnitin provides student-specific tutorials on submitting assignments, viewing Similarity Reports, and understanding feedback within Canvas. Access these resources through the Turnitin Student Tutorials website.

If you need further assistance, you can submit a request through Turnitin’s Submit a Request page or contact university support at Canvas@montana.edu.
