With nine executive board positions up for grabs for the 2020-2021 academic year, the American Marketing Association (AMA) at Montana State elected its new executive board, with the following students winning positions on the board:.

  • President - Kaitlin Lane
  • Executive Vice President - Isabelle Ivankovich
  • VP of Membership - Sam Dehio
  • VP of Programs - Claire Shinn
  • VP of Marketing - Bailey Jacobsen
  • VP of Consulting - Nate Brown
  • VP of Fundraising - Maddison Lueck
  • VP of Finance - Hunter Young
  • VP of Communications - Shayna Armer

“I am incredibly excited to be the president of AMA next year,” said Kaitlin Lane, a junior marketing major from Harlowton. “Our chapter has elected an amazing group of individuals, and I am looking forward to working with them and all members of our chapter as we move forward to accomplish even more.”

AMA at Montana State was named a Top 10 chapter out of more than 400 student chapters worldwide at the International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans earlier this year. With a chapter-record 21 students from MSU competing at ICC, the chapter was awarded with the following recognitions:

  • 1st place in Student Research
  • 2nd place in the National Sales
  • 2nd place in Marketing Strategy
  • 3rd place in the Case Competition
  • 10th place in the SABRE Business Simulation
  • Outstanding recognition for Marketing Week

“Considering we’ve only been a chapter for four years, AMA at Montana State has already accomplished so much,” said Eric Van Steenburg, assistant professor of marketing and the AMA faculty advisor. “I am looking forward to what will be accomplished next year and working with the newly elected executive board.”

The American Marketing Association is the student lead chapter of the AMA at Montana State University. AMA’s mission is to prepare students for their professional careers through experiences that inspire students to cultivate strong networks, personal growth, and ethical leadership with a community-oriented focus.
