How can Gold Standard help our department?

It is Gold Standard’s goal to match students to departmental positions that fit their interests. After you submit your inquiry, a Gold Standard representative will reach out with more details. We look at students' experience levels and match the students' and employers’ needs. We recruit your department and promote your open positions (3 job fairs, orientations/events, digital promotion, etc).

How does my department partner with Gold Standard?

Gold Standard will help recruit students for the open positions your department provides to us.

After the partnership is active, your department will send us open positions and we will start sending Gold Standard students to you!

How do I find a Gold Standard Student?

We help facilitate the hiring process by sending students directly to you. When a student applies with Gold Standard, we match them with your open positions, provide them with your application instructions, and guide them through the process.

As an employer, what are my expectations as a partner of Gold Standard?

What is the interview process?

Gold Standard does not replace your hiring process; rather, we help your recruitment efforts and facilitate the application process. Our goal is to connect students to your open positions. The interview and hiring is based on departmental requirements.

How many hours will students work?

A full- time student (those enrolled in 12 or more credits) can work 6 to 20 hours a week, based on their desire. Part- time students (those taking 5 credits or less) may work up to 40 hours per week. Part- time students (those taking 6 credits or more) may work 6-20 hours a week. It is important to communicate with the student and make sure expectations are met on both sides. The limits are on total hours per week, so if the student is working multiple positions, hours for the student may vary each week.

Can my student employees work over breaks?

During breaks student employees can work up to 40 hours per week.

Can I hire students with work study through Gold Standard?

Yes! If your department is looking for students with work study, we can send you great candidates.

Can we post seasonal or temporary positions?

We will recruit for any on-campus positions. Timely positions can be featured on our Gold Standard webpage.
